This cSA approved gas connector is often used on home appliances like gas dryers. SmartSense used with Dormont coated gas connectors gives an industry leading 3 Levels of Protection. This 12 IN ODflarex12 IN MIP SmartSense excess flow valve and thermal shut off is an intricatelydesigned valve with two primary components gas flowlimiting plunger and thermal shutoff sensing ring. SmartSense detects and activates in the event of gas line rupture disconnection or fire. The plunger limits gas flow protecting against excessive gas leaks in the event of fullline rupture or disconnect. SmartSense self resets to standard rate of flow after gas line restoration and pressure equalization. The internal thermal ring expands to stop gas flow in temperatures ranging from 350425 degrees F.
