For Sale: 1926 Packard Club Coupe in Richmond, Texas for sale in Richmond, TX

1 of 36
Vehicle Description Rare 4-passenger Club Coupe, with foldable front passenger jump seat, with champagne compartment in back seat.
Was evidently used as an upscale taxi in the Napa area.
As pictured, it is yellow and black.
this doesn't appear to be available as an original paint scheme.
The paint is okay, but not great.
There is some paint flaking beneath the windshield area, but is fair other than that.
In this age of patina, I was going to leave it as is, but you may have other ideas.
Last registered in 1956 in Modesto, CA.
Has clear CA title.
Almost no rust other than surface.
Has almost every trim part and piece of glass.
this was the second year of steel frame and it is in remarkable shape for nearly 100 years old.
Fenders, hood, etc are also very good.
Battery box is about the only area of concern, but most of them were bad back in the 30s.
Floor is wood plank and perhaps a slight bit spongy, but not a priority and has no obvious damage.
Comes with the original engine, which appears locked, plus another engine that was sold as running about five years ago.
Since then, it tipped over and the distributor top broke, but the original engine has a functioning distributor.
No tires on the vehicle.
Has all five disc wheels and all five trim rings, exhaust was damaged at one point and slightly bent, but all parts are here.
Original Packard radiator cap was not on the car when I purchased it Only real problem is the top, which was not a convertible but an original phaeton top, and the door trim/upholstery.
Apparently all can be redone by any upholstery shop -- not a specialty place.
Not sure who did the coachwork, but it has the original fitted steamer trunk, which is in great shape.
Spare tire fittings, bumpers, front cowering between the frame (which was bent, but is included), trim on bumpers, etc.
This is a better than average example of a limited car, with everything necessary to make it street able for very little expense.
Listing it at $19,500 but will consider offers.
Car is garaged just south of Houston, TX.
